Human Moments Allowed!
When was the last time you allowed yourself to have a human moment?
Oh, you’re wondering what a human moment?
In my world, I define it as simply being human.
I know. Nothing revolutionary, yet I find we don’t lean on it as much as we should/could.
The instant gratification world we live in, demands us to take action immediately or else…
The pressure to always get it right is never ending. Yet, regardless of all these pressures, guess what, you’re still a human being and your experiences matter.
Including feeling afraid or uncertain.
We don’t always know what to do or where the steps we take will lead us. And that is scary.
Every choice you make has a consequence and it’s OK to take a moment to consider the options before deciding.
In today’s world, it feels like if you pause, you’ve already taken too long. And people are quick to want to crucify you for that.
Give me a minute to do some research of my own, figure out what my options are and then make an informed decision, whose consequences I will be willing to deal with.
That needs to be OK.
And if you’re those people who just acts without worrying of the consequences, kuddos to you. That’s not everyone so don’t start holding people accountable based on your own values which they may not live by.
I just think if we chose kindness and grace more often; being slow to judge, the world would be a much better place.
If we all took the time to be human and allow for human moments, there would be more smiles and happiness around.
I guess the caveat is to make sure not to get paralysed with the human moment. Hence the word “moment.” It’s a brief period of time.
You’re allowed to be afraid, to feel scared, to be angry, disappointed, excited, all the different ranges of emotions we experience as humans and then, decide on next steps.
Don’t judge yourself and don’t judge others for having a human moment.
When was the last time you allowed yourself to have a human moment?
XO,
Moulding Beauty.
